Keria Almost “Disappeared” in Loss to FOX
Recently, after an undefeated streak from KeSPA Cup 2025 until now, T1 was unexpectedly defeated by FOX. This result is understandable when looking at the performance of both teams in the BO5 match during Round 2 of the LCK Cup 2026 playoffs. However, because T1 had previously shown a near-perfect face, not many expected that Faker and his teammates would “land” so quickly. Alongside Faker and Peyz, who were both rated as having lackluster performances, one name that must be mentioned is Keria.
In all 4 games, perhaps the game where Keria truly stood out was Game 1 when he used Thresh and made some outstanding Death Sentences, as well as threw Lanterns effectively for his teammates. Moreover, even with his “signature” champion Alistar, Keria was not particularly remarkable. Having matchups where he was outmatched by opponents is one thing, but clearly, Keria no longer made an impact with his map control or mind games against opponents like before.
The dullness of the Support, rated as the “number 1 in League of Legends right now,” also posed difficulties for T1’s playstyle. They had to play purely on the top lane with Oner’s initiative. But on a day when the opponents also performed very well, frequently stealing jungle resources, Oner could not consistently support all lanes. Consequently, a domino effect occurred, and T1 was practically always losing to FOX right from the laning phase.
Keria is Gradually Losing One of His Strengths
Keria using champions with crowd control but being unable to gank due to the need to continuously cover for Peyz has also caused him to lose the ability to create impactful plays in all lanes previously. Admittedly, the current meta forces AD carries to be dived under towers more, but Peyz’s inability to play independently contributes to “making it harder” for Keria.
And once Keria cannot roam gank to create impactful plays, and with the ban phase losing his champion Bard, Keria is facing a serious problem that could potentially affect T1 in the future, especially when they have to face opponents from equal to stronger levels both in LCK and internationally.
