Since the beginning of LCK Spring 2024, T1 has been on quite a stable journey. Alongside Gen.G, T1 is the team with the most consistent performance. Notably, after their loss to Gen.G on opening day, T1 has won every match, two of which were against very strong opponents like KT Rolster and Hanwha Life Esports. It can be said that T1 still deserves to be a championship contender for LCK Spring 2024. However, many fans feel that T1 has yet to fully unleash its potential.

One of the factors leading to this perception is the fact that Keria and his teammates are still actively “testing champions”. Specifically, the T1 Support has used 8 different champions so far and is the Support with the most champion diversity in LCK Spring 2024, prior to their upcoming match against OKSavingsBank BRION. As Keria mentioned in an interview after the loss to Gen.G, T1 is still searching for the best options and will not hesitate to experiment with new champions when given the opportunity.

Recently, Keria made a statement that surprised many when he admitted that T1 is still not in “form”. Specifically, the T1 Support stated: “We are building combos that can lead in the early and mid-game. Therefore, we will continue to experiment with different champions to find the best options. At the same time, we will study to improve the team’s capabilities. If we lose or face difficulties in execution, we are not afraid to try again.”

In fact, T1’s strategy is quite similar to their approach during Worlds 2023, where they used the Swiss stage to experiment with various options. In fact, as Keria revealed during that stage, they were willing to play according to the meta to determine if their choices were correct in the match against Gen.G. Later, T1 even brought out a “strange” champion that was only briefly considered by Keria: Ashe Support.

Of course, experimentation may come with results that are not as expected, and the T1 players likely understand this well. However, with Keria’s revelations, T1 may bring out even more options in the near future, perhaps even throughout the group stage. This could ensure that T1 has the best compositions prepared for the much more important playoffs stage.
