Right now, the entire T1 team is going through a recovery period after contracting COVID-19 as well as resting after a very intense Spring 2022 season. Particularly, based on what the players demonstrated in the finals, many members of T1 had to compete in very poor health. A prime example is Oner, who was exhausted and completely drained after game 4 ended.

Recently, while livestreaming, T1 Support Keria admitted that the entire team was completely worn out during that LCK Spring finals. Specifically, the star born in 2002 mentioned that he experienced brain fog during the match. His teammates, such as Oner, Zeus, and Faker, also had to endure COVID-19 symptoms like him. Not to mention, Keria had been suffering from muscle pain from his back down to his toes for quite some time.

In particular, Keria also stated: “If the match went to game 5, we probably would have lost because we were too exhausted already. After the match, I wanted to enjoy the victory so much, but I was too tired from the illness that I just wanted to go home. Honestly, the time each game took was too long, and I felt like I couldn’t hold on any longer.” Keria also explained that he shed tears upon seeing the legends appear during the ceremony.

From Keria’s revelations, we can see the tremendous effort and determination of Faker and his teammates in the finals was truly remarkable. Although there were many signs, according to T1’s CEO, the entire team tested negative right up until the finals, so they were unprepared physically in case they contracted the virus. Furthermore, there was a clear disparity between T1 and their opponents – Gen.G Esports, even though this was a star-studded team, because despite their poor condition, T1 still defeated Gen.G with a score of 3-1 in a rather dominating performance.

T1 will have a short break before embarking on their journey to seek the title at MSI 2022. If they continue to perform as they currently are, it will be no trouble for Faker and his teammates to clinch the MSI championship right at their upcoming home venue.
