One of the hot topics being discussed at the moment is the new skin lines just launched by Riot. These skins are themed around the Universe and are collectively referred to as the Cosmic Paladin series. Additionally, there will be a Multicolor Legendary Skin for Jhin Dark Cosmic named Dark Cosmic Jhin: Annihilation. These are considered refreshing additions to the previously beloved Cosmic skin line.

However, as soon as Jhin’s Multicolor skin was announced, the League of Legends community plunged into disappointment. It was discovered that this is not really a Multicolor skin but can be considered a new skin for Jhin. Players will only receive the full effects if they complete the milestones specifically designated for this skin. Notably, players will only receive Dark Cosmic Jhin: Annihilation if they open the Cosmic Gem 2023 – an item that will be released alongside this skin line.

But the issue here is that the typical Multicolor package would be sold in the shop at a certain price. Now, players have to rely on their luck to obtain it. If we assume that this is indeed just a Multicolor package as Riot has mentioned, then it is clearly unreasonable to have to spend more than the normal price to acquire it.

And if this is truly a skin, then the price to pay is still too high. According to one player’s calculations, in the case of wanting to obtain the Multicolor Jhin through opening boxes, an unlucky player could spend up to 22,500 RP to buy the Cosmic Gems and open them. This amount of RP, when converted to currency, would be around $200 (approximately over 4 million VND). This is an exorbitant price for a Multicolor skin. Many players were outraged when they discovered this. One comment was particularly blunt: “If this is really just a Multicolor skin (as they say), then why do they think players would spend that much money to own it? Do they really need money that badly?”.

The situation is still being discussed on many League of Legends forums. Meanwhile, these skins have not officially launched but have already caused Riot a lot of trouble.
