Witnessing T1 suffer two defeats in the group stage against Liiv SANDBOX, even the most optimistic fans couldn’t help but worry about a similar scenario unfolding when the two teams met again in Round 1 of the LCK Summer Playoffs 2021.
However, those worries were soon extinguished as Faker and his teammates showcased a “devastating god” persona, completely dominating LSB in Games 1 and 2. Moving into Game 3, LSB attempted to find a glimmer of hope, and things looked more promising as the team maintained a balanced advantage, even slightly edging out T1 for nearly 40 minutes of play. However, with a clever catch on Summit, who was caught out of position, T1 took complete control of the match and secured a decisive 3-0 victory.
All notable highlights were focused on T1, as the team surprised everyone by bringing Teddy back into the starting lineup, while Faker went even bolder by picking LeBlanc in Game 2.
This is a champion that the “Demon King” has used very rarely over the past year, so this choice was likely completely unexpected by the LSB coaching staff. And the signature champion of the legendary Faker did not take long to make its mark. He successfully solo killed Sett in FATE’s hands early in the game, creating a snowball effect in the mid lane. Despite LSB continuously securing major objectives, including Baron, facing a fed LeBlanc was an impossible task for them.

With over 44,000 damage from the mid lane, T1 gained a massive advantage, leading 2-0, setting the stage for their overall 3-0 victory against their nemesis, Liiv SANDBOX. Thus, they officially became the last team to qualify for the Playoffs semifinals.
