World Championship is always one of the biggest and most exciting tournaments, attracting both participating teams and fans in the League of Legends community. For each player, the World Championship trophy is a coveted goal that must be achieved in their career. Therefore, every year, during the Worlds, we witness many teams and players participating with high determination.
So who are the male players with the most appearances at Worlds? Let’s check it out!
Jensen (Cloud9) – 8 times
As of now, Jensen holds the record for the most appearances at Worlds, with 8 times. The Danish player made his Worlds debut in 2015 with Cloud9 under the nickname “Incarnati0n”. As the new mid-laner of the team, Jensen replaced the iconic player at that time, Hai “Hai” Du Lam.

After that, Jensen continued to attend Worlds with Cloud9 from 2016 to 2018 before moving to Team Liquid and participating in Worlds from 2019 to 2021. In this season, Jensen returned to his old home C9, helping his team defeat Evil Geniuses with a score of 3-1 at the 2022 Summer LCS, officially marking his 8th appearance at Worlds.
Sneaky (Former Cloud9) – 7 times
Before being surpassed by Jensen, former Cloud9 player Sneaky was the player with the most appearances at Worlds with 7 times. Since starting his career at C9, Sneaky helped the team consistently qualify for Worlds from 2013 to 2019. Although he did not achieve remarkable results at this important international tournament, Sneaky’s 7 appearances at Worlds still made many players envious.

Faker (T1) – 7 times
The legend Faker also impresses with 7 appearances at Worlds in the colors of T1. Among the top players competing at Worlds, Faker has the best record with 3 championships in 2013, 2015, and 2016. This unprecedented achievement has made Faker a “legend” in both Korean and international League of Legends, earning him widespread admiration.

At Worlds 2022, Faker and T1 excellently advanced to the semifinals and are very determined to win the world championship for the fourth time.
Deft (DRX) – 7 times
Similar to Faker, Deft also has 7 appearances at Worlds. While Faker has lifted the championship trophy three times, Deft has not been as fortunate. Among his 7 appearances, Deft’s best result was reaching the semifinals. Thus, Worlds has always been a haunting tournament for Deft.

In this year’s Worlds, Deft and DRX also advanced excellently to the semifinals to face their LCK regional rival Gen.G. Hopefully, Deft and his teammates will achieve even more breakthroughs this season.
Ruler (Gen.G) – 6 times
AD carry Ruler from Gen.G is also a player who has participated in Worlds multiple times. As of now, Ruler has 6 appearances, winning the prestigious Worlds championship. Due to his numerous participations, Ruler has had the opportunity to experience a range of emotions at Worlds.
Specifically, in 2016, as a rookie, Ruler was the runner-up at Worlds. In the 2017 season, Ruler and Samsung Galaxy (SSG) successfully avenged their loss and won the 2017 Worlds championship. In this season, SSG also changed its name to Gen.G. By 2018, Ruler and his team were eliminated right from the group stage. In 2020, Ruler and Gen.G reached the quarterfinals but were defeated by G2 Esports. Finally, in 2021, Gen.G lost in the semifinals to EDward Gaming, who then claimed the championship.

In Worlds 2022, Gen.G is also a highly regarded name and a strong candidate for the championship. With his current form, Ruler is expected to continue shining and bring home a second Worlds trophy for Gen.G.
It can be seen that although many players have participated in Worlds several times, the championship trophy of this largest League of Legends tournament in the world never loses its allure to the players. But whether they win or not, they remain legends in the hearts of fans.
