If you didn’t know, cvMax is one of the most famous coaches in League of Legends (LoL) at the LCK tournament. Many players trained by this coach have later become top stars, and they are currently shining brightly at the 2022 World Championship (Worlds).

The most notable names we can mention are Chovy, Lehends, and Doran, who are currently competing under the Gen.G banner. These players were brought to the LCK stage for the first time in 2018 by coach cvMax with the Griffin team. Almost immediately, Griffin’s lineup rose to the top level with three second-place finishes in the LCK.
After Griffin disbanded due to backstage controversies, Chovy, Lehends, and Doran went through many teams before reuniting at Gen.G. This team quickly demonstrated absolute strength in the LCK with a summer championship. As of now, Gen.G is still considered to have the highest chances of winning the 2022 Worlds.

Another remarkable player who was also a student of cvMax is Keria, the Support currently under T1. Keria was “discovered” by coach cvMax in the 2020 season when he was still a young player. After one year under cvMax’s guidance, Keria made rapid progress and became one of the most versatile Supports in the LCK region.
Currently at the 2022 Worlds, Keria is one of the best-performing players on the T1 side. He currently holds a coveted KDA of 12.7 and, alongside Gumayusi, forms an incredibly solid Bottom Lane duo that T1 possesses.

The last notable student of cvMax worth mentioning is Kanavi, the Jungler for the JDG team. Kanavi is considered a pillar of JDG due to his crafty playstyle, wide champion pool, and adaptability to all types of strategies. Although he doesn’t have overly impressive stats, Kanavi significantly helps his teammates at JDG perform much better.
Few remember that Kanavi used to sit on the bench while wearing the Griffin jersey because he couldn’t compete with Tarzan. However, his time at Griffin was not wasted as he was trained by coach cvMax and greatly improved his skills and understanding of LoL.

A very exciting piece of news in recent days is that coach cvMax will return to the League of Legends scene and take on the “captain” position of the Kwandong Freecs team. It is highly likely that this coach will train a new generation of high-quality rookies in the upcoming 2023 season.
