A series of stats about ADCs as a “painful slap” for T1
Recently, the statistics site Dpm released a series of metrics regarding the minion count that ADCs differ from their opponents within the first 15 minutes of the game. However, the stats from Riot are nothing short of a “slap” for T1: Gumayusi is the player with the highest minion difference among the 10 names on the list. Specifically, T1’s ADC surpasses his opponent by 19.5 minions just after the first 15 minutes. This highlights how strong Gumayusi’s laning ability is.
This is an important stat because the early game can determine whether a team can “snowball” or gain an advantage. Furthermore, with the gameplay increasingly mixing between standard laning and the meta lane swap of 2024, ADCs must play flexibly. Not to mention, in almost all matches played during the recent 2025 Regular Seasons, Gumayusi has almost always been taken down at least once in the early game.
This means that as soon as they return to lane, Gumayusi and Keria immediately re-establish their lane advantage. Furthermore, in many matches, Gumayusi has also used champions that can play effectively in the weak lane (Jhin, Ashe…) and allow Keria to roam and gank. It can be said that Gumayusi still has very good laning skills despite having a long period without regular play.
In fact, it is very likely that if T1 had not kept their ADC on the bench for so long or allowed T1 to experiment with the “ADC-centric” playstyle with Gumayusi in the 2025 LCK Cup instead of promoting Smash, the stats of this 2002-born ADC would have been even better.
T1 is gradually recovering but nothing can be taken for granted
Currently, after two consecutive victories, T1 has risen to 3rd place. However, their opponents in the following weeks will not be easy. No one knows if the players have reached their best state yet. But clearly, T1’s changes, although somewhat late, are at least bringing hope to their fans.
