In a recent stream, Nắng – a popular female streamer among the youth – shared her journey of overcoming cancer. Notably, she has faced this challenge not just once, but twice in a little over a decade.
Nắng shared that she first showed signs of illness when she was young. However, she ignored them due to her studies and only went for a check-up after finishing her exams. It was only after the second examination that she discovered she had bone cancer.
“My mom just told my dad while crying. […] After you told my grandmother, she also cried. I was sitting in the bathroom crying without knowing what was wrong with me. After that, I was admitted to K Quán Sứ Hospital. That’s when I learned I had primary malignant bone cancer (osteosarcoma). Fortunately, it was only stage 2, and I still had treatment options,” the streamer shared.
After overcoming her first illness, she faced a second diagnosis more than 10 years later. “After getting a CT scan of my lungs and a biopsy, I thought no one gets cancer twice in a lifetime. […] But one not-so-beautiful day, I opened the app to check the results, and there it was – the phrase ‘secondary malignant tumor in the lungs'” – Nắng said.
