HLE’s rookie superstar hits an “unforgettable” milestone
As we know, during the offseason transfer period of the 2025 season, LCK was the most watched region with names like Gumayusi, Viper… and teams like T1, HLE… all making significant changes. Among them, HLE made noteworthy changes, dubbed a “bombshell” as they successfully signed Kanavi and Gumayusi – two incredibly talented players in their positions. Notably, although he is Korean, this is Kanavi’s first debut in the LCK.

In fact, Kanavi previously played for an LCK team when he first started his professional League of Legends career, which was Griffin. At that time, he was teammates with Chovy, Viper, Doran, Tarzan, and Lehends – young players who have already shown top-tier talent. However, due to behind-the-scenes issues, Kanavi could only play his first professional League of Legends match in the JDG jersey in the LPL.

Nevertheless, Kanavi has built an admirable career in the Chinese League of Legends scene. Notably, he was a member of JDG 2023 – the most recent team from the LPL to reach the Golden Road milestone. What followed became history when Kanavi found himself waiting for an opportunity but couldn’t react in time to Faker’s Shurima Shuffle that pushed Ruler back and helped T1 secure the victory.

HLE is highly anticipated in the new season
Among the LCK teams, HLE is perhaps a unique team, as they do not overly depend on results to attract sponsorships. Of course, they still aim for the highest achievements, and in recent years, HLE has also had some notable victories.
This season, the “Orange House” will continue to be a noteworthy rival to T1 and Gen.G, if not to say that they have almost maintained their strength despite the departures of Peanut and Viper. In this journey, Kanavi will be a key player as he replaces former captain Peanut to lead HLE towards glory.
