HLE Player Affirms Harsh Truth About the Current Team
Since the loss at the Road to MSI 2025 against Gen.G, it’s fair to say that HLE has begun a disappointing phase. Once a team expected to “carry” LCK alongside Gen.G at MSI, the “Orange Team” has lost to T1 in all recent encounters, failing to secure even a single game win. In fact, HLE is now a highly unstable team. Recently, Viper – HLE’s superstar – had to admit: the team is directionless.

Specifically, Viper stated: “Actually, in many recent matches, during objective fights or skirmishes, I honestly don’t understand what my teammates are communicating anymore. It feels like everyone is just trying to express their own thoughts while ignoring those of the team. That’s why we make many mistakes and the games don’t go as we want. We are still trying to overcome this, and this victory was truly very lucky.”

HLE’s System is Gradually Revealing More Issues
Not only is there a communication problem, but HLE seems to have made many mistakes right from the operational stage of their draft picks. For example, in the match against T1, when the opponents let a “god-tier” wombo combo consisting of Rumble – Maokai – Yone, HLE only managed to execute it effectively once. Most of the time, it was either one member going in before the others or using the combo when the opponents made mistakes themselves.

For a title-contending team like HLE, this is a major taboo. It’s not just a communication issue; failures also lead to psychological and performance problems. HLE is currently lost. And apart from the players and coaching staff, it seems there is no one else who can solve these issues for HLE. However, it is likely that HLE will have to wait until the playoffs to start their revival journey (if any), as the group stage is nearing its end.
