Replaying the ‘divine’ moment from Gumayusi that saved the entire game for T1
It can be said that T1 is going through one of the best Summer splits in the history of this team as they continue to rack up victories. Although this season is not split into Spring and Summer as before, T1 still shows good form despite having come up empty at MSI and EWC earlier. One of the players performing at an incredibly high level is Gumayusi – the AD Carry of T1, who has been mentioned just as much as Faker this season.

Particularly, in the matches against T1’s major opponents, Gumayusi has had several ‘divine’ moments that contributed significantly to the team’s victories. A prime example is the recent match against HLE. In the second game, HLE had a chance to rush into T1’s base, and Zeka almost took down Gumayusi. But with just one moment of using his E ability, he completely escaped Zeka’s Death Sentence.

Because Gumayusi was not taken down and dealt damage back, HLE could not finish the game and eventually lost. Fans often talk about the situation where Zeka and Peanut rushed at Doran but forget that it was Gumayusi’s calm handling that helped T1 hold on. If they had lost their primary source of damage, T1 would have almost certainly crumbled afterward.
Gumayusi could be the key factor helping T1 secure the remaining titles this year
With Doran becoming increasingly versatile in different champion matchups, T1 can experiment with a playstyle revolving around Gumayusi more. This way, they can return to the ‘Best ADC’ playstyle that helped T1 dominate tournaments in the second half of Summer 2021 and throughout 2022. Moreover, Gumayusi’s skills and composure are continuously improving, indicating that he deserves to be allocated even more resources.

Given his current form, it is not an exaggeration to say that Gumayusi could become a crucial cornerstone for T1, a decisive factor that can help T1 win both of the biggest titles of this season.
