Gumayusi Admits a Truth About the HLE Match
On July 4th (Vietnam time), T1 will kick off their MSI 2025 campaign against CFO – the representative from the APAC region. Despite being the second seed from the LCK region, T1 was able to advance directly to the Knockout Stage thanks to their championship title at HLE’s First Stand, instead of having to compete in the Play-in round like G2 or BLG. Moreover, that victory over HLE has helped T1 rise as a top contender for this year’s MSI championship. However, Gumayusi has a more humble perspective on his team.

Accordingly, Gumayusi admitted: “It seems like that has become a ‘habit’ of T1. We may not perform well in the regular season, but we always show up well in the playoffs. So, I was very confident (when facing HLE). But honestly, I didn’t think we would win with a score of 3-0 and such a perfect performance. I think everything turned out better than I expected.”

Gumayusi and T1 Are in Good Spirits Heading into MSI 2025
It can be said that, at this moment, T1 is in a very good psychological state and is ready for the MSI 2025 journey. Moreover, with a relatively “easy” first opponent, it will be a perfect warm-up for T1. Gumayusi himself has also gradually regained his familiar form after a period of sitting on the bench and being in a chaotic situation due to team personnel issues. He is also considered the highest-rated Marksman among all the Marksmen from top teams participating in this year’s MSI.

Of course, in competitions, nothing can be taken for granted. But the MSI championship is a title that the T1 2022 lineup is still missing. Zeus is no longer on the team, but the remaining four members certainly have the opportunity and ability to complete this collection and show that they have truly overcome the backstage difficulties since the beginning of the season.
