Perhaps, when T1 once again reaches the finals of LCK Spring 2024, no one truly expects T1 to claim the championship. This is because Gen.G is currently even stronger and more comprehensive than they were in the previous 2023 season. A common hope among the audience is that Gen.G – T1 can deliver their best performance in the finals. In fact, if it goes to game 5, there shouldn’t be any problem, and it has been a long time since we have seen a full 5-game series in the LCK finals.

And indeed, Gen.G – T1 did not disappoint the audience as all 5 games showcased intense performances right up to the last minute. The display from all 10 players was full of various emotions: from stability to brilliance, with mistakes made, but also moments of punishing errors back and forth. Of course, there were also superstar moments that took the audience through different emotional highs and lows.

In the end, Gen.G claimed the championship of LCK Spring 2024 after a decisive push into T1’s Mid Lane at the end of game 5. With this title, Gen.G also secured their 4th consecutive LCK championship, making Chovy and his teammates the first team in LCK history to achieve 4 consecutive domestic titles – something that even SKT T1 or peak T1 never accomplished.

But even more impressive was Kiin’s performance in the finals, marking his second opportunity in his career to win his first championship. This time, Kiin did not miss the chance, and finally, after a long career, he earned his first title. Additionally, since his debut, Kiin is the only player who has experienced every rank from 10th place up to champion.

The titles of Gen.G and Kiin are well-deserved. But T1 also deserves praise. Clearly, the performances of both teams sent a strong message to MSI 2024: They will be the top contenders to bring the first international title back to LCK in 2024, as well as to end LPL’s dominance in this tournament.
