Gen.G Matches T1’s “Epic” Record
In 2022, when the ZOFGK roster was first announced in the professional League of Legends community, this team immediately established one of the longest unbeaten streaks in history. In total across all BO1, BO3, or BO5 matches and in every tournament, T1 in 2022 achieved a record of 26 consecutive wins. At that time, this achievement was considered “unprecedented.” However, recently, with the championship title of EWC 2025, Gen.G has matched T1.

Accordingly, after defeating AG.AL in the EWC 2025 finals, Gen.G also achieved 26 consecutive wins this season. Given that tournament formats have changed significantly, with the number of matches shortened (especially for Gen.G as they consistently maintained a position in the winner’s bracket), Gen.G had to wait until after the victory over AG.AL to match T1 2022. Meanwhile, the ZOFGK roster had their unbeaten streak across all tournaments “shut down” at that year’s MSI after losing a BO1 match against G2.

The Possibility of Gen.G Surpassing T1 is Feasible
With their current performance, the possibility of Gen.G surpassing T1’s impressive record is entirely feasible. Right after EWC 2025, Gen.G will return to LCK – where they have almost always been kings over the past few years. And although their opponents in the first week include both HLE and T1, the likelihood of Chovy and his teammates overcoming these two challenges is plausible. Witnessing the way they played against AG.AL, perhaps no one has yet found a way to defeat Gen.G, who are currently so comprehensive.

However, Gen.G’s goal may not just stop at the unbeaten milestone but also at subsequent titles. LCK has also entered a crucial stage, determining the overall performance of the season, and thus Gen.G cannot afford to slack off. Especially in the past, they were also unbeaten only to then slip when fans had the highest expectations.
