GAM’s Transfer Leaves the Vietnamese League of Legends Community Stunned
Since the VCS region was merged back into a single LCP region, the GAM team has quickly fallen from its position as the “big brother of Vietnamese League of Legends” as its rivals now include not only representatives from Vietnamese League of Legends but also very strong international teams. The year 2025 marks the first season since VCS officially made its mark on the world League of Legends map, and GAM did not participate in any international tournaments. In 2026, GAM continued to struggle. However, they recently announced a new signing, Gloryy – the former player of Team Whales.

However, this deal has sparked debate among GAM fans, resulting in mixed opinions. The reason stems from the fact that Gloryy is one of the 32 players involved in a major match-fixing scandal a few years ago. Gloryy has served his suspension and returned, but for GAM fans, it’s understandable that they feel somewhat dissatisfied. Traditionally, GAM players may have had “rebellious” personalities and fluctuating performance, but none have ever been recruited after being implicated in negative scandals.

Therefore, alongside those supporting GAM’s decision to give Gloryy a chance, many others find the transfer perplexing. After all, it’s uncertain whether Gloryy can meet the professional standards after such a long break from competitive play.

GAM is Creating Additional Challenges
The recruitment of Gloryy, regardless of the professional aspect, is enough to make GAM a name of particular interest in the Vietnamese League of Legends scene. If they utilize Gloryy successfully, things may calm down gradually. However, if the opposite occurs, GAM will face even more headaches as they have too many problems to solve, from professional issues to public opinion.
