Official Announcement from LCK Regarding Ruler’s Incident
One of the stories that has captured the attention of the League of Legends community in general and LCK viewers in particular recently is the tax incident involving Ruler. Although according to statements from Ruler himself and his representatives, the matter has been resolved for quite some time, the community’s frustration stems from the fact that Ruler and Gen.G did not handle the situation more appropriately, leading to criticism directed towards Ruler. However, a recent announcement from LCK seems to officially close the case.

Accordingly, LCK has confirmed that “there is no basis to penalize Ruler as it does not correspond with the regulations of Riot and KeSPA.” It can be understood that, after about a month since the incident erupted, Ruler will not face any penalties. Gen.G and Ruler can focus on their upcoming matches, at least in the crucial Rounds 1-2 and the Road to MSI thereafter.
But LCK Viewers Still Cannot Accept Ruler
Following LCK’s announcement, it seems that Ruler’s issue is settled. However, on forums like FmKorea, there are still many viewers who do not accept this outcome. Nonetheless, the decision made by KeSPA cannot be changed.

– They bench and trade immediately with Diable, but nothing happens with some ADs.
– If it were a foreign player or a young talent, it would have been resolved long ago.
– But anyway, this has been a long time ago; if the authorities don’t act, then LCK can’t do anything either.

Thus, in the near future, Gen.G fans can rest assured as their biggest concern has been addressed. And it is likely that Gen.G will return to their familiar winning rhythm as Rounds 1-2 enter the most critical phase.
