Recently, T1 unexpectedly posted an announcement regarding the punishment of Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong – the substitute AD carry of the team for his game-breaking behavior and inciting others to do the same, violating the professional player conduct standards in ranked solo queue.
T1 has officially imposed the following penalties on Gumayusi:
– A fine of 500,000 won (approximately 10 million VND).
– 20 hours of community service.

Along with this, T1 also sent an apology to the fan community. Gumayusi also wrote a handwritten letter apologizing to the fans and the gaming community after this trolling incident.

In a ranked match, for reasons unclear, Gumayusi repeatedly requested one of the other players to quit the game to find another match. After not receiving agreement, the T1 AD carry called on his teammates to troll the game and then picked Irelia in the AD carry position.
During the match, he dove in to feed, finishing the game with a KDA of 0/13/4. Gumayusi’s game-breaking actions coincidentally occurred during a match where Thal – a former T1 player, was streaming, which led to considerable anger within the gaming community.

Gumayusi is regarded as the most promising name among T1’s trainees; he was once in the top 5 Challenger in Korea during the 2019 season. However, playing in the AD carry position, which is still occupied by a very stable Teddy, has prevented Gumayusi from having the opportunity to debut in the LCK like his other teammates such as Canna and Ellim.
