At the upcoming SEA Games 31, GAM Esports will represent Vietnam in the competition for medals in League of Legends. Given their performance so far, a gold medal for GAM is what most of the VCS community is hoping for. This is also an opportunity for Esports in general and League of Legends in particular to get closer to many audience segments as SEA Games 31 takes place in Vietnam. Therefore, GAM’s responsibility is even greater.

Recently, on May 7, GAM held a fan meeting before the entire team travels to Hanoi to begin their “quest for gold at SEA Games”. This can be considered the first large-scale fan meeting for League of Legends in Vietnam since the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to still being under various regulations and GAM wanting to create a friendly, cozy atmosphere, the number of attending fans was limited. The event also featured guests such as commentator Hoang Luan, MC Mai Dora, Optimus…

Notably, for the first time at a fan meeting, GAM brought an experience for fans to interact and compete with them. This is surely a memorable experience as attendees not only received numerous gifts from GAM’s sponsors but also got to sit on the competition stage like professional players, experiencing the modern equipment of GG Stadium and the vibrant atmosphere of the audience.

The atmosphere of the fan meeting was incredibly lively, with fans eagerly interacting and participating in showmatches alongside GAM players and coaching staff. During the fan meeting, player Levi shared: “I am very excited to participate in SEA Games 31. I am confident that GAM will win the gold medal for our country. My only goal is the gold medal, and I will set an additional goal of not losing any matches.” Additionally, Levi admitted that he didn’t have much information about the opponents, but he and the team are not afraid of any team. In sharing this thought with the captain, “War God” Kiaya also affirmed that the team’s overall victory is the most important.

The fan meeting concluded successfully. Fans stayed until the very last moments to ask for autographs and send their best wishes to the GAM players for their journey at SEA Games 31.
