GAM CEO’s Cryptic Post
As known, starting from 2025, the VCS will undergo significant changes as Riot decides to merge League of Legends Vietnam into a single APAC region. This move will not only enhance the competitiveness of APAC on the global stage but also allow Riot to concentrate its investment resources more effectively. However, another vital aspect to mention is that weaker teams will struggle to secure a spot in the APAC tournaments. For GAM, it is predicted that they may secure a Partner slot with Riot in APAC to maintain their position in this tournament.

Recently, on the evening of August 25th, GAM’s CEO, TK Nguyen, unexpectedly posted a message in English, roughly translated as: “Tomorrow (August 26), we will make history with a partnership that is predicted to revolutionize Esports in Southeast Asia.” Additionally, in the comments, the CEO invited everyone to guess what it could be. This immediately sparked a “frenzy” in the VCS community, with fans trying their hand at being “internet detectives.”

What Future Awaits GAM?
Many viewers believe that GAM may have secured a partner slot with Riot in the APAC region. With a long-standing history, absolute dominance in League of Legends Vietnam, and their achievements on the international stage, it seems hard for Riot’s Partner slot to slip away from GAM. However, some opinions suggest that GAM might have completed a deal to acquire a renowned team in the AOV or VALORANT scene, as previously mentioned by GAM’s COO, Nguyen Khanh Hiep.

However, whatever it may be, this could be a first move marking the upcoming changes for GAM as well as the VCS. And regardless of what it is, it will certainly be welcomed by the League of Legends audience in Vietnam. It could even be seen as a strong development for GAM, whether they officially attain Riot’s Partner status or expand their dominance into other Esports titles in Vietnam.
