FunPlus Phoenix continues to face another defeat in the LPL against Vici Gaming. In fact, this loss does not significantly affect their position in the standings; however, for one individual on the team, this defeat is truly a disaster.
Joining FPX with hopes of becoming the perfect final piece to form the “destroyer” lineup of the Phoenix team, but Khan has lost himself and has even been unable to compete for a starting position against Gimgoon – who is considered the weakest link of the previous world champions.
After a few reasonably stable performances at the start of the season, FPX could not secure a victory, leading to Khan being benched and replaced by Gimgoon. FPX returned to winning ways, but it seems this was also when Khan lost his confidence.

The match against Vici Gaming was one of the rare occasions Khan returned to FPX’s starting lineup, and he had the chance to prove himself against his former mentor kkOma. However, an FPX “with Khan” once again did not win, and after the match, Kanavi – the fellow countryman of the former SKT star, shared that Khan was completely devastated.
According to Kanavi, Khan texted him after the match saying: “I am not feeling good at all, I no longer believe in myself.”
Kanavi reported that he had to spend quite a bit of time comforting Khan and urged fans to continue supporting him.
Clearly, when comparing to the strong and confident star Khan from the past while wearing the SKT or KingZone DragonX jersey, what is happening to Khan now is truly beyond the fans’ expectations.

The problem is not that FPX is performing poorly. This team is still playing very successfully and competing for the top spot in the LPL standings. The issue is that FPX tends to lose only when Khan plays as a starter. Whether he plays well or poorly, FPX seems to fall out of sync whenever Khan is in the starting lineup. And this is the issue that is causing Khan to gradually lose confidence, as he feels that he is the reason for the team’s declining performance.
As a high-profile rookie with a transfer fee of up to 2 million USD according to sources from China, it is understandable that Khan has lost himself after a series of poor performances. It seems that leaving SKT has, at this point, become a mistake for Khan personally.
