As we know, not long ago, the arrest of the CEO of the livestream platform Douyu over allegations related to illegal gambling caused quite a stir in the League of Legends community. The reason is that many famous players are members of this platform and have actually built their careers from livestreaming after retiring from professional League of Legends. The most notable names include Uzi and Doinb.

After the incident erupted, Doinb disappeared from all social media platforms. There are suspicions that he has returned to South Korea with his wife and resides in a place believed to be owned by Doinb – a villa in the Hannam The Hill area – one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in Asia. At this point, a question arises: How did Doinb, who was just a player and later became a professional streamer, manage to own a home in a place like Hannam The Hill?

According to Uzi’s sharing, his actual livestream salary is quite meager, only about 600 RMB (approximately 2 million VND) per day. Notably, Uzi is the most famous player in the LPL and has the largest fanbase in the region. Recently, an income statement of Doinb was released, shocking many. Accordingly, Doinb earned about 7.3 million RMB from paid gifts on the livestream platform and around 50.1 million RMB from fan donations. Excluding salary, the total of these two income streams amounts to approximately 57.4 million RMB per month (about 196 billion VND).

However, while this amount may sound high compared to the average earnings of a regular worker, it is nothing to the super-rich. In 2017, the band BTS reportedly spent 7.4 billion won (138 billion VND) to acquire a villa here. Meanwhile, Doinb is said to have recently purchased this apartment complex. The comparative value has certainly changed. Not to mention, Doinb is also known for being “generous,” as he also owns a villa in Suzhou – one of the wealthiest regions in the country of a billion people.

Many opinions suggest that, in addition to participating in livestreaming, Doinb may indeed have “issues” with his income sources. Recently, some information regarding Douyu streamers’ involvement in money laundering has further increased suspicions against Doinb. Especially since, to this day, he still has not returned after several days of silence.
