T1’s loss has left even their former legend feeling “powerless”
Recently, T1 suffered a defeat against Gen.G, causing them to drop to the 1-2 bracket, and every upcoming match could potentially be their last at Worlds 2025. Therefore, T1 cannot afford to “slip up” any further. However, one fact remains: while the loss to Gen.G was somewhat predictable, the manner in which T1 lost has left many worried and confused. Even the team’s former legend – Wolf, expressed his “powerlessness” on his stream.

Wolf raised questions during the stream but also encouraged T1 fans: “How many more matches do these guys want to play? They are starting to collect data on bans and picks again. I think they might be intentionally choosing that strategy, losing 2 matches, but 0-2 just looks too bad. Moreover, if the opponent is weaker, they cannot afford not to win. That’s why the score is 1-2. This way, they will get to play more matches. Maybe that’s it. Let’s not worry about the BO3 anymore. It’s just one more BO3 match.”

No one knows what T1 is thinking
In reality, it’s clear that T1 is performing extremely disappointingly. Apart from the win against IG, even the match against FlyQuest saw T1 facing numerous difficulties. The two losses to CFO and Gen.G don’t need much discussion; it’s simply that the opponents have outperformed T1 significantly.

Is T1 struggling, or do they really want to play as many matches as possible, both to gather data and to adapt to the meta? Perhaps only the current members of T1 can answer that. But they are teetering on the edge of the “abyss,” and soon, just one more loss will see T1 immediately exit Worlds and become former champions without even reaching the finals.
