Not long ago, images of former VCS star – Phạm “Zeros” Minh Lộc surfaced, appearing at a place resembling a government agency. However, it remained a rumor until no official media outlet confirmed the incident. Despite this, the community remained skeptical, especially after a notorious streamer recently commented on Zeros’ situation as “more bad than good.”
And it is no longer a rumor; in a recent announcement on The Information Portal of the Ha Tinh Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, it confirmed that Phạm Minh Lộc (Zeros) and his brother Phạm Minh Phước (Minas) have officially been indicted and temporarily detained for the crime of Gambling under Clause 2, Article 321 of the Penal Code.
According to the announcement from the Ha Tinh Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, the two brothers Minh Lộc and Minh Phước “developed the intention to use the results of their gaming matches as the content for betting with viewers” (quoted from the document of the Ha Tinh Provincial Prosecutor’s Office). The minimum bet was 200,000 VND, with a maximum of 20,000,000 VND; the win-loss ratio was 1:1.9 (meaning if a player bets 100,000 VND and wins, they would receive 190,000 VND back), if they lose, they lose the entire bet amount.
During gaming matches on October 30, 31, 2024, November 1, and November 3, 4, 2024, the total amount that Minh Lộc’s group collected reached over 132 million VND.
