“Following in Faker’s Footsteps” but Uzi is Immediately Critiqued for Falling Behind Another Legend
Recently, according to an official confirmation from Riot, Uzi has been officially recognized as the next player after Faker to enter the Hall of Legends and will become the second player in the professional League of Legends scene to receive this special skin line. According to information about Uzi posted on Riot’s official website, Uzi will choose two champions: Vayne and Kai’Sa. Among those, Kai’Sa will be the main champion, similar to Faker’s Ahri.

However, this may be just the beginning of endless debates regarding the Hall of Legends skins. In reality, it seems that only Faker’s skins do not spark controversy. But in Uzi’s case, right after the announcement of his inclusion in the HoL, even the LPL audience began to compare Uzi with another legend, JackeyLove. An important factor pointed out is that Uzi and JackeyLove have almost identical numbers of titles, and Uzi has never won the World Championship like JackeyLove.

– Everyone wants to be like Uzi when playing ADC, meaning to be heavily invested in resources. But if you have been given so many resources and still can’t help your team win, should you still be in the HoL?
– But Uzi has made it to the World Championship finals twice with his team.
– Playing with Uzi makes the other four players feel like they are just “waiting to win” while they are Mlxg, Letme, Xiaohu, Ming…
Moreover, Uzi’s career has been quite brief. Since 2019, he has hardly made any impact in professional League of Legends. When he decided to return to BLG in 2023, Uzi did not leave any significant impression despite being well-supported by his new team.

But perhaps anyone after this will spark controversy because of the HoL, except for Faker
Nevertheless, once Riot has made a decision, it will not change. And aside from Faker, it’s likely that anyone’s name will ultimately cause fierce debates when included in the HoL. With only one person selected each year, many names will be missed. But anyway, this is Riot’s policy, and it is difficult for this publisher to reverse its decisions.
