As reported, recently two young Vietnamese players were rumored to join DRX – the team known as “Blue Dragon” in the LCK. These are the latest cases emerging in the LCK, drawing significant attention from the VCS audience. This comes after Tlong joined Fredit BRION and did not find much success, attributed to both skill level and communication with teammates. Therefore, the audience’s concern for the two young talents from VCS is not unfounded, especially since Tlong has struggled to reintegrate with his Vietnamese colleagues and is currently unemployed.

However, recently, in response to fans’ expectations, player Trần “LazyFeel” Bảo Minh has achieved an “unbelievable” milestone in the Korean rank. Specifically, this young player has become the first Vietnamese to reach Rank 1 Challenger in Korea since the server’s launch. Previously, the best achievement by a Vietnamese player was when SofM competed for a Top 2 position in the Korean rank alongside Canyon and a one-champ Zoe player during his time with Suning.

Notably, LazyFeel achieved this rank only about a week after breaking into the Top 10. This indicates that the young player truly deserves a chance to join DRX. Additionally, LazyFeel has garnered significant attention from the international League of Legends community. On Twitter, many comments express hopes that LazyFeel will soon get an opportunity in the main team: “This Vietnamese player is amazing, I hope DRX will promote him to the main team. The first Vietnamese to play for an LCK main team. Will he defeat Gumayusi too???”.

This scenario seems somewhat “unbelievable” as the LCK has maintained a policy of only using domestic players at least up until now. Nevertheless, with LazyFeel’s performance, it at least shows that he is a player with extremely high skill. It wouldn’t be surprising if, despite the LCK’s reluctance, LazyFeel finds many opportunities in other top regions like LPL or LEC. Notably, as of the morning of January 29 (Vietnam time), LazyFeel still holds the Rank 1 Challenger in Korea, after Tarzan made great efforts to reclaim this position staying up until… 4 AM.

Moreover, LazyFeel’s performance also serves as a “marketing” opportunity for the VCS region. This could help Vietnamese League of Legends gain more attention from the international community, and in the future, besides the LCK, audiences may see more Vietnamese players in regions like LPL, LEC and truly be given more opportunities for development.
