For a game mode that is incredibly familiar to the League of Legends community like Teamfight Tactics, the appearance of bugs is quite common. In fact, sometimes players even discover bugs that have existed for a long time, to the point where they are “mocked” as a type of mechanism. For example, the health deduction bug when a player loses a round leads to many unfair eliminations. According to Riot’s explanation, this is due to the inaccurate damage calculation mechanism, causing players to lose health in the next round.

However, there are also bugs that genuinely frustrate players and significantly affect the game’s outcome. One key point is that as TFT continues to improve with many new features, the number of new bugs also proportionally increases. In a game mode with many variables like TFT, there are bugs that players may accidentally encounter, causing them to go from winning to losing.

A typical example is a bug that causes Veigar – the “final boss” when activating the Yordle trait – to attack twice instead of once, even though there is enough mana to cast his ability immediately. Clearly, this is a serious bug, and if faced with fast damage-dealing teams with many control effects, Veigar might not even have time to attack before being taken down. Therefore, the Riot team had to quickly fix this bug in update 12.7.

But with the community still skeptical about Riot’s ability to fix bugs, Mortdog – the “father” of the TFT game mode – decided to offer a $50 (about over 1 million VND) reward for anyone who can reproduce the Veigar bug. Specifically, to trigger this bug, players need to meet the following conditions:

– Have Energy Core I + Energy Core III + Blue Buff.
– Activate 5 Mutant traits (with mana reduction effect) and have 6 Yordles to have enough mana restoration for Veigar to use his ability and restore mana afterward.
Thus, it can be said that the occurrence rate of this bug is extremely low. For the first condition, players can meet it. But for the second condition, this is nearly impossible. Because among all Yordle champions, there is not a single one that adds the Mutant trait. Therefore, a lot of Mutant emblems are needed to meet this condition.
However, a TFT player has already received a reward from Riot. Specifically, in the Perfect Pairs mode, this player received assistance from their teammate to activate 6 Yordles while having all the necessary items to reproduce the bug. To Riot Mortdog, although he praised the player’s ability to “bend the rules,” he also had to set a new rule that rewards will only apply to solo matches. Currently, players are still trying to reproduce this bug in hopes of receiving rewards from Riot.
