Former famous LCK coach unemployed just after the early season
In the transfer window at the end of the 2025 season, not only players but even renowned coaches have been shifting their careers, notably the coaching staff of Gen.G. While Coach Kim moved to JDG, Coach Helper took over the AL team. These are both prominent names in the LPL right now. However, after Split 1, AL’s Coach Helper is facing the risk of losing his job.

According to recent information, Coach BigWei has been recruited into the coaching staff of AL following the conclusion of Split 1. Initially, rumors suggested that this coach would join Helper’s team to prepare for Split 2, which will kick off after the First Stand 2026 ends. However, in another development, Coach Helper has removed the AL team from his bio on Instagram. This has led many to question whether the former renowned coach of Gen.G will indeed have to leave.

This is a sad but understandable outcome for the former LCK coach
During Split 1, AL did not perform poorly compared to their own performance from the previous season. However, after a successful 2025, AL fans have the right to demand more than just being the “dark horse” of the tournament. Recruiting Coach Helper, who had been very successful while leading Gen.G, was in line with their title aspirations.

However, the coach has not fulfilled his duties. It is not difficult to see that Coach Helper wants to build AL as a “Gen.G of LPL”. Unfortunately, AL’s players have yet to reach the level of the “king of LCK,” and Coach Helper’s efforts not only left AL “home” after Split 1 but also put his own position at risk.
