As we know, on May 27, RNG defeated EG in the first semifinals of MSI 2022. This victory secured RNG a spot in the MSI 2022 Finals, and they will have time to watch T1 and G2 face off against each other. For EG, this loss is nothing to be sad about, as they represent LCS and have two new 18-year-old players on their roster; finishing in the top 4 of MSI 2022 is already a great success for them.

In the post-match interview, this was also reflected in the EG team’s demeanor as they did not show any sadness or despair after their defeat to RNG. Especially Jojopyun, who was extremely excited to learn from one of the best midlaners in the world, Xiaohu. Meanwhile, Impact placed his full trust in T1 to win MSI 2022 when asked to predict the outcome of the upcoming finals.

Q: Jojopyun, you were very cheerful on stage today even after the defeat. Can you share what you learned from your first international tournament experience? What will you do in the future?
EG Jojopyun: Honestly, my personal development direction is based on what Xiaohu did in the last match. I will consider that as my clear development direction for the future. As for what I want to do, I really want Impact to take me out to eat in Busan; I’m tired of hotel food already.
Q: Can you predict the champion of MSI 2022?
EG Jojopyun: What Xiaohu did today is truly insane. Therefore, I think RNG will be the champion.
EG Impact: I put my faith in Faker and T1. He is a legendary player, so I believe Faker can do it.

Of course, as a former teammate, it is understandable for Impact to support Faker. However, this is not entirely subjective, as T1 is truly showing its overwhelming strength in the later stages of the MSI 2022 Group Stage. Defeating RNG in a Bo1 match has shown that T1 has the capability to take down any opponent in this tournament and claim the championship.

The next hurdle in T1’s quest for conquest is a rival with whom they have a long-standing history, G2 Esports. There’s no need to say much about the immense heat surrounding this matchup. Hopefully, both G2 and T1 will deliver an exciting match for the viewers this afternoon – May 28.
