Faker is About to Hit a Historic Milestone but Fans Have Lost Faith in T1
In just a few hours, the first matches of the 2025 Regular Seasons will officially kick off, marking the start of the new LCK season. Despite facing much drama since late 2024, T1 remains a formidable force. Notably, in the very first week of the 2025 Regular Seasons, Faker could reach a historic milestone in his career: the first player in the LCK to play 1000 matches.

Currently, Faker has played 994 matches with over 600 wins. This is an achievement that, at this moment, no one surpasses T1’s Mid Laner. Additionally, Faker is also the player with the most LCK championships. If T1 plays all three games in both matches (against DRX and Gen.G), Faker will set the record right in the opening week of the 2025 Regular Seasons.

However, this might be a bit challenging if T1 fields its strongest lineup and the players perform at their best in both matches. DRX will find it hard to push T1 to a third game if Faker and his teammates do not make critical mistakes. It is likely that Faker will wait until the match against KT Rolster in the second week to officially set the record.

However, for T1, the team has lost the trust of fans. After the unsuccessful LCK Cup 2025 and the backstage troubles, many viewers believe that securing a ticket to MSI will be challenging, with only 2 slots available and HLE and Gen.G appearing to be far more stable. Meanwhile, the World Championship is still quite distant.

Faker Will Still Be the Leader of T1
There is no need to emphasize Faker’s role too much, and perhaps he himself understands that only victories and achievements can help T1 escape this crisis. However, understanding and wanting to act, and making efforts are two different things. If T1 continues to have “data collection” lineups and the players do not perform well, Faker may find himself powerless.
