Faker Reveals Final Conversation with Gumayusi as Teammates
Recently, Gumayusi officially left T1 to join HLE and has even had his first matches against his former team. Naturally, the emotions of T1 fans, especially Gumayusi’s fans, and the League of Legends community as a whole are quite mixed about this event. But ultimately, this is Gumayusi’s choice. More than anyone, his former teammates, including the FMVP of Worlds 2025, feel the most nostalgic. Recently, Faker also shared about his final conversation with the close younger teammate who helped him achieve his dreams during his peak career.

Accordingly, Faker stated: “This year we talked a lot. What he has contributed over time carries immense significance. To achieve such good results, Min-hyeong’s efforts are substantial. With that mindset, I told him, ‘You’ve worked hard enough already.’ Since I’m not good at expressing my feelings, I chose to say it that way.”
In the T1 lineup, Gumayusi is arguably one of the players who admired Faker the most. Right from the moment he officially became the main AD of T1, Gumayusi hoped to win titles alongside Faker. Additionally, during times when Faker was absent or feeling down, it was Gumayusi who showed stability and supported his senior.

Faker Also Reveals About the Future
Meanwhile, in his sharing, Faker also discussed his 4-year contract with T1 that was signed earlier this year. The legendary Mid Laner expressed his gratitude towards T1 for allowing him to compete for an extended period. However, Faker also stated that he cannot make any plans for himself after 2029 when his contract ends. Nevertheless, the “Demon King” also noted that he might end his professional career with just one team.

Of course, circumstances can change, and four years is not a short time for a professional player. Therefore, discussing this issue now might be too early, and Faker will assess his own condition and the team’s situation to make decisions for his future.
