Faker Shares “Hilarious” Childhood Memories
Recently, on his stream channel, Faker shared some insights about his childhood. Those who have followed Faker for a long time might know that the “G.O.A.T of the League of Legends” grew up in a setting lacking maternal love and was quite impoverished. Because of this, Faker developed a habit of living simply and saving as much as possible from a young age. This habit continues even now that he is the highest-earning League of Legends player in South Korea. Recently, Faker also shared a personal story surrounding the topic of “gambling”.

Specifically, Faker mentioned: “Instead of buying some snacks for 100 won (a type of snack sold outside schools), I often used that 100 won to play gambling games. You know, those games where you put in 100 won and could win back 1500 won. Back then, I only played those kinds of games.”
In fact, for Faker at that time, being able to put in 100 won and potentially getting back 15 times that amount was something quite exciting. Faker himself admitted that he was young and didn’t think much about it then. Furthermore, right after sharing this “memory” from his “turbulent childhood”, he advised his viewers to absolutely not follow his example. “Gambling is not a game, so I strongly advise you not to gamble,” Faker cautioned.

Community Delighted by Faker’s Sharing
It should be noted that Faker doesn’t often talk about his difficult times on stream or share his school experiences. Therefore, a moment of vulnerability from Faker made fans quite delighted and actually helped many feel “closer” to him, realizing that Faker also once wanted to try his luck like any other ordinary person.

Faker himself does not view gambling as a means of making money, as evidenced by the fact that he remains focused and serious about his League of Legends competition career to this day. Thus, Faker’s shares are merely for entertainment and to give him something to chat about with his audience when he has free time.
