T1 and Faker Could Significantly Influence the Success of the LCK Roadshow

As we know, one of the notable experiments of the LCK in 2026 is the LCK Roadshow program. Specifically, the “home – away” mechanism will be widely applied, and teams will have the discretion to choose their “home” venue. According to an announcement from DRX at the end of 2025, they will hold their LCK Roadshow in Vietnam. Recently, the LCK will host the finals of the LCK Cup 2026 in Hong Kong (China). However, many opinions suggest that the success of the LCK Roadshow in Hong Kong could be related to T1.

It is well-known that T1 is the team with the largest fan base in League of Legends, and Faker is the player with the most fans worldwide in the League of Legends scene. This is still true in the LPL. Faker is the only foreign player who has never played a match in the LPL but has a Weibo account with over 1 million followers – more than legends like Uzi or Doinb.

Furthermore, T1 has a player who recently transferred from the LPL – Peyz. In just one short year with JDG, Peyz has proven his abilities and gained the attention of LPL fans. Therefore, coupled with T1’s strong performance, it is understandable that they are attracting more interest.

Therefore, when the LCK plans to host the finals of the LCK Cup 2026 in Hong Kong, it is almost certain that one of the two names the LPL audience hopes to see here is T1. In fact, if it’s not T1, the finals may not be anticipated by the LPL audience as expected.

But T1 Must Also Strive

Clearly, at present, T1 is on a winning streak, and that is very encouraging for the team. However, in all their victories, T1 has never shown a flawless and tidy performance like Gen.G. T1 still needs to improve further, because if teams like DRX or FOX can challenge T1, then a “DK at the start of the season” or “HLE regaining form” could certainly give T1 a bitter lesson just like in the past.
