T1 is once again involved in unnecessary drama at EWC 2025
In just a few hours, T1 will embark on their journey to defend their EWC championship, with their first match against a relatively “easy” opponent – Movistar KOI. For those who may not know, MKOI has faced T1 before and became the “victim” of the LCK representative in one of the shortest matches in League of Legends history. However, instead of focusing on gameplay reasons, T1 finds itself in another controversy as a verified EWC channel’s poster is missing an image of Gumayusi.

The post immediately attracted attention, especially as Gumayusi became the target of criticism after T1’s loss to Gen.G in the recent MSI 2025 finals. However, some fans believe this is an isolated incident from EWC and not related to T1. The argument and evidence presented are based on the fact that last year EWC also posted a poster missing an image of Keria.
– This might be an issue for the EWC organizers; I remember they also chose an image without Keria last year.
– Why is it always Gumayusi this season?
– But Gumayusi’s position is usually in the center of the lineup; Keria, being on the edge, could be cropped out, but how do you crop the center?
– This seems to be just a media page of EWC; the official EWC channel is different.

T1 Prepares to Face Significant Challenges
While MKOI can be considered an “easy” opponent, AL will pose a much tougher challenge, even though T1 recently defeated them at MSI. AL’s performance against HLE cannot be underestimated, and the BO3 format will require teams to make different calculations compared to the recent MSI.

However, fans can still place their trust in T1. Their players are currently in top form and have time to study strategies before embarking on their journey in Saudi Arabia. With both objective and subjective factors in their favor, T1 can definitely replicate last year’s achievements and secure their first international title of the season.
