About 10 days after winning the 2023 World Championship, T1 players have started to stream again and are receiving a lot of attention. Instead of playing League of Legends in a “tryhard” manner, the T1 players have chosen to interact or share interesting stories with the audience. Recently, Zeus revealed some intriguing insights about his decision to choose his championship skin.

Specifically, what made Zeus most hesitant was the decision to choose between Jayce and Yone for his championship skin. In the end, Zeus chose Jayce because he truly likes this character. Additionally, Jayce has never had a championship skin before. As for Yone, Zeus, though disappointed, has to leave the responsibility of getting a championship skin to future Mid Lane players.

“Isn’t Yone getting an Epic skin? I hope my Jayce skin will be really beautiful. Before this, I also thought about the effects Yone would have when I chose him for my championship skin. Every time Yone uses his ultimate, there would be a golden lightning strike, and using Q would create thunder. But I still chose Jayce. There are many Mid Lane players who play Yone better than me. The championship skin for this character should come from a Mid Lane player,” Zeus shared with the audience.

As Zeus mentioned, among the previous championship skins, Jayce has never been included. As a character that has been around for 11 years and frequently appears in major tournaments, this is indeed somewhat “unfair” for Jayce. Perhaps this is why Zeus prioritized Jayce over Yone when making his championship skin choice.

As for Yone, Zeus intends to leave this responsibility to Mid Lane players. His brother Faker is a strong candidate as the “Demon King” continues to excel after many years in the competitive scene. Chovy is also a notable name as he is very popular with Yone. The biggest barrier for Chovy might just be the “tradition” of underperforming at international tournaments.

In summary, despite his disappointment, Zeus still has a greater affection for Jayce, so he decided to choose this character for his championship skin. Hopefully, Riot will not let the Top Lane of T1 down and create a truly quality skin to honor Zeus, the FMVP of the 2023 World Championship.
