The signing ceremony was held under the witness of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism – Mr. Ho An Phong, the Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports – Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, and the Director of the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information – Mr. Le Quang Tu Do. Accordingly, the two parties agreed to collaborate in developing the Audition discipline within the national and regional competition system, including organizing tournaments at SEA Games 33 in Thailand in December 2025, implementing athlete recruitment and training, as well as promoting community activities in Vietnam. This event not only has professional significance in the field of esports but also opens up a new direction: developing esports alongside spreading Vietnamese cultural identity in the lives of the youth.

The Right Direction of Cultural Strategy in eSports
The inclusion of Audition in the SEA Games 33 competition framework brings values that extend beyond the realm of sports. Audition is inherently a digital cultural phenomenon, closely linked with many generations of young Vietnamese through music, fashion, and a vibrant gaming community. When a digital cultural product bearing Vietnamese marks is represented on the regional stage, it signifies not only recognition of technical skills and competition organization but also affirms that the image of Vietnam can be powerfully conveyed through the methods of a new era.

With this collaboration, esports is not only developed professionally but is also placed in a direct relationship with cultural missions. Gamers are no longer just competitors but are viewed as representatives of the image of dynamic, creative, and confident Vietnamese youth.
Vietnamese culture present in the digital space of the youth
In the context of digitalization, culture no longer exists solely within traditional institutions but is shifting strongly into the online space. Young people form their awareness and identity through the environment they interact with daily: social networks, music, movies, and games. Therefore, if culture wants to continue to thrive, it must be present where young people are.

Transmitting Vietnamese culture through games creates a soft and effective method of reception. Stories, images, and community spirit can be recreated in-game in a familiar and unforced manner. Players access cultural heritage not through lectures but through experiences, emotions, and direct participation. This is a form of cultural transformation suitable for a generation that values interaction and personal experience.
eSports as a channel for integration but not dilution
Bringing Audition to the SEA Games 33 arena means that the image of Vietnam is accessed in an international context. Vietnamese youth are not only competing for achievements but are actively shaping the region’s perspective on Vietnamese digital culture. Here, esports serve as both a channel for exchange and a means to confidently assert Vietnam’s position and identity.
This journey shows that Vietnamese culture does not stop at preservation but is being renewed, recreated, and continues to thrive through modern means. Thus, cultural identity is not limited to traditional forms but is expanded in line with the creative flow of the younger generation.
Currently, the Vietnamese Audition team is mentally prepared for the upcoming ceremony of the Vietnam Sports Delegation. This event aims to prepare for the upcoming SEA Games 33. Team members show high determination to bring back the best results for the country.
Hope for the Future of Digital Culture Developing Alongside eSports
The MOU signing event between VTC Intecom and VIRESA has set an important vision: building esports not just for competition purposes but also with the mission of spreading Vietnamese culture in the digital age. When Audition is featured at the SEA Games, what is spread is not just talent or competition skills but the image of a youthful, confident, and culturally rich Vietnam.
Therefore, developing esports is not just about building a creative industry but also about developing people and Vietnamese culture in the age of integration. Esports is not just a technical game; it is becoming a space to preserve and express Vietnamese identity in the language of the new generation.
