BLG Elk Sends a “Challenge” to T1 and Gen.G
On the evening of October 26, BLG showcased a convincing display of strength by swiftly defeating WBG with a score of 3-0. This victory highlights BLG’s complete superiority over their regional rivals, excelling in both lane phase and mid to late-game teamfights. This convincing win has given BLG immense confidence as they have secured a spot in the Finals of Worlds 2024. Their opponent will be the winner of the other Semifinal match between T1 and Gen.G.
After the match, BLG players were asked extensively about their upcoming opponent in the Finals. Star ADC Elk assessed that T1 is currently in a stronger state, making them more likely to advance to the Finals. However, Elk also sent a very strong “challenge” to both T1 and Gen.G, stating that they (BLG) will defeat any opponent to claim the championship.
“Our whole team is very interested in the match between T1 and Gen.G. If I had to predict, I think T1 is in a better state and will advance. Regardless of which team wins, I expect the score to be 3-2 because both are strong teams. For BLG, whether the opponent is T1 or Gen.G, we are ready to defeat them and emerge victorious in the end. The whole team is in top form to overcome any challenge and win this year’s world championship,” Elk shared with the press.
The Clash Between T1 and Gen.G May Very Well Need a Game 5, as Elk Shared
Elk’s comments are grounded in reality, as T1 and Gen.G always produce thrilling and intense matches. Finals between these two teams often go to a decisive Game 5 to determine the final outcome. Moreover, both T1 and Gen.G understand each other well, making it difficult for one side to dominate and defeat the other with a large margin in the upcoming match.
Another factor to note is that T1 and Gen.G are currently considered quite balanced. T1 is often seen as the underdog against Gen.G in direct confrontations, but their convincing victory over TES recently shows that they are in very high form. Meanwhile, Gen.G had a tough match against FlyQuest, narrowly escaping defeat thanks to stars like Chovy and Canyon shining. This has somewhat shaken the confidence of viewers in Gen.G.
