Yesterday – May 14, Group C of MSI 2022 officially determined the teams advancing to the tense Rumble stage. With overwhelming strength, G2 Esports easily achieved 4 consecutive victories and claimed the top spot in Group C with an unbeaten record. Meanwhile, the other team advancing to the Rumble stage alongside G2 is EG, as the LCS representative made no mistakes in eliminating ORD from the tournament.

Not only did they win, but G2 also displayed immense confidence among their members as they continuously adapted their strategies smoothly while still defeating their opponents. Just considering the fact that G2 Esports players are among the top 1 and top 2 champions in their positions at MSI 2022 is enough to understand how high their confidence is.

In fact, in a “bragging” move after G2 Esports’ Play-In stage concluded, support player Targamas claimed they were just warming up over the past few days. Perhaps for an ambitious team like G2 Esports, the upcoming Rumble stage with the presence of T1 and RNG is where the real MSI begins.

Indeed, with what they have shown over the past few days, G2 Esports is currently in extremely high form. This allows them to be very confident in implementing their unique strategies and handling situations in-game incredibly smoothly. A notable highlight was Caps’ slick Yasuo play against EG, taking down Jojopyun in a moment when he was being attacked by opponents.

Remember that the mental factor is a form of strength that is very hard to explain and can help G2 a lot in their upcoming journey. In their last appearance at MSI with high confidence, G2 was able to defeat a “Super Team” at that time, SKT T1, with an extremely troublesome Pyke. Therefore, if they can leverage a perfect start like at MSI 2022, G2 could truly make an impact in the upcoming rounds.
