Of course, the duo’s comments were strongly condemned by TheShy fans and the WBG management. A post (allegedly) directed at Doinb was made shortly after on the personal page of WBG’s manager. The content of the post: “The nature of scrims is just scrims and they are meant for experimentation. We cannot rely on that to make comments. WBG’s results are unsatisfactory, but that is something even the bottom-ranked teams cannot achieve.”
This has “touched a nerve” with FPX – the team that is still trying to revive after the failures of 2021. Soon after, FPX responded strongly with a photo of the team’s LPL trophy. Observant fans even noticed a version of the World Championship trophy placed right next to it. Doinb himself defended his younger brother by using his own version of the World Championship trophy as the backdrop for the following livestream.
This Spring, TheShy has not performed particularly well despite being the only player selected to stay after WBG’s overhaul. Doinb and Lwx’s assessment may not be entirely accurate, but it is something WBG and TheShy should think about if he truly still desires to achieve glory in the professional League of Legends arena.
