Zeus Compared to a “Legendary” Name After HLE’s Loss
The match between HLE and Gen.G can be seen as an early decisive game in the group stage of the Regular Seasons 2025. The winning team will have certain advantages in competing for one of the six spots to qualify for the MSI in the LCK region. And on a day of stellar performance, Gen.G truly annihilated their formidable opponent. Meanwhile, Zeus and his teammates could only be summed up in two words: “disappointment.” The former T1 star even “took the spotlight” as he was nearly invisible in both games.

Accordingly, many viewers mocked Zeus and brought up the drama with T1. One sarcastic comment read: “Perhaps when the term ‘villain’ returned to ‘hero,’ Zeus fell victim to the ‘Gao Bạc’ effect. If Zeus were still in T1 today, he would have been thoroughly ‘sacrificed.'” Many may know that Gao Bạc, when he was the Hungry Demon, was very strong, but when he returned to the hero side, he became noticeably weaker.

Particularly, in the second game, Zeus was even given his signature champion (Aatrox), and his teammates created ample space for him to gain an advantage over Kiin and potentially “carry the team.” However, Zeus’s contributions were minimal. Not to mention, Chovy’s exceptional performance thwarted HLE’s plans.

Zeus and HLE Must Abandon Old Habits
Until now, HLE has always had a “habit” of starting slowly, and they only truly unleash their full power when entering the crucial playoffs. Remember, HLE recently suffered defeats against both DK and Gen.G in the LCK Cup group stage. However, they accelerated strongly in the playoffs, resulting in winning the LCK Cup and subsequently the First Stand.

However, the Regular Seasons will have different format points, and teams have probably studied HLE well enough to counter this team. Moreover, HLE’s recent defeat shows that the Regular Seasons 2025 will be very exciting, as teams like T1 and DK are also ready to defeat the reigning LCK champions if given the opportunity.
