Despite not competing, a beauty stole the spotlight during the HLE – Gen.G match
The opening match of the 2025 Regular Seasons between Gen.G and HLE was expected to be intense, but it turned out to be a complete one-sided domination from the reigning MSI 2024 champions. Because of this, the match was quite… boring and was an absolute showcase from Gen.G, leaving little room for discussion on the professional aspect. Instead, a beauty captured the spotlight during the match despite only being in the audience, namely idol Minju from ILLIT.

The idol appeared to cheer for the HLE members. However, it seems she had a less than perfect day enjoying the match as her team not only lost but was defeated by an unimaginable score. In both games, HLE was pressured from start to finish and had almost no chance to turn the tide.

The beauty who shines as an idol by day, and plays one-champ Katarina by night
For those who may not know, Minju also has a great passion for League of Legends. Her busy idol schedule does not stop this beauty from taking the time to climb the ranks. Notably, she is regarded as a “one-champ Katarina” with an impressive 700k mastery points on this champion.

In a recent game show with the ILLIT members, Minju also admitted that she has been playing League of Legends since 2020, and her favorite position is Mid Lane. The highest rank Minju has ever achieved is Platinum on the Korean server.

Based on the average points per game in League of Legends, it is estimated that Minju has played Katarina in approximately 1000 games to achieve her current mastery level. It can be said that even in the professional League of Legends scene, if considering only the champion Katarina, there are likely not many players who can master this champion and understand Katarina like Minju. Her reputation is also known in the international League of Legends community, helping the idol gain a significant number of fans.
