Recently, the Korean League of Legends community was shocked to hear that the familiar MC of LCK – Kim Min-ah unexpectedly announced her departure from the position of leading the Analysis Desk at the Korean League of Legends tournament. This also means that from this moment on, Kim Min-ah will no longer appear on LCK broadcasts.

In her announcement, Kim Min-ah candidly shared that the reason for her decision was due to a recent controversy surrounding her remarks. Specifically, in a report about minors posted by the official YouTube channel of the South Korean government, Kim Min-ah made a comment with very sensitive content, using words that were considered “sexual harassment towards minors” regarding a character in the clip.
Subsequently, she had to publicly apologize and clarify on her personal page, however, under pressure from the online community, Kim Min-ah decided to voluntarily withdraw from LCK:
“I sincerely apologize for my comments related to minors on the South Korean government’s YouTube. I am extremely ashamed of this action and promise that it will never happen again. Initially, my announcement about leaving the LCK Analysis Desk was supposed to be made earlier, but due to my busy schedule, I was unable to make this statement in time. I assure that I will take full responsibility and personally apologize to the individuals and organizations affected by my actions, and I will correct myself to avoid similar mistakes in the future.”

The official social media pages of LCK have also confirmed the information regarding Kim Min-ah’s departure from the organizing committee due to personal issues. It is known that this was entirely a proactive choice from Kim Min-ah herself, as she expressed a desire to take a break from her MC role to “reflect and reassess herself.” The organizing team of LCK then agreed with this choice and began searching for a replacement for the female MC for the remainder of the season.
