In the second semifinal match of MSI 2022 that took place a few hours ago, G2 Esports was completely defeated by T1. Although before the match, this was considered a fairly balanced matchup, the reality unfolded quite differently from the predictions of the League of Legends community. In fact, not only did T1 dominate, but the match also ended more quickly than many had imagined.

G2 entered Game 1 not poorly, and their draft choices were quite intentional. However, T1 had Faker wielding Tristana, who was incredibly formidable. When the plan to “suppress” the spirit of AD Carry Gumayusi failed, G2 inevitably succumbed as the match spiraled out of control. In Games 2 and 3 that followed, it was nearly a one-sided affair dominated by T1. The lone efforts of CaPs and to some extent Broke Blade or Flakked were not enough. The swift 3-0 result left even T1 fans surprised.
And of course, with the defeat in a row since the second half of the Rumble Stage, winning only against Evil Geniuses, and then losing all 3 games to T1 in the semifinals, G2 became the subject of mockery from the League of Legends community. The majority of opinions affirmed that T1 completely outclassed G2 in all 3 games. Even the former player Perkz took the opportunity to add salt to the wounds of his old team after the “Central Circus’s” defeat.

As for T1, they had a match that can be described as completely outclassing. Many praises were directed at Faker and his teammates, and Korean fans felt more confident about T1’s chances of victory against Royal Never Give Up in the finals scheduled for tomorrow, May 29 (Vietnam time). However, some opinions suggested that T1’s level was quite surprising.

The upcoming final will also be the most important match for both teams. On one side is T1, eager for a title after a long time without success in the international arena. On the other side is RNG – the current champion of the tournament who has displayed a devastating performance at MSI 2022. Regardless of which team emerges victorious, a new chapter in the history of both the team and the League of Legends scene will surely begin after this final.
