Historically, we’ve often seen blatant imitation coming from the “Chinese sorcerers.” From Among Us to Warcarp. However, in this article, the main character isn’t from a Chinese studio, but according to many sources, it comes from a Vietnamese studio.

I Am Hero: AFK Tactical Teamfight – the hottest name on gaming forums lately due to… blatant theft from character designs to the storyline of each character in the League of Legends universe. This product comes from a Vietnamese studio. The game follows the Auto Battle format like Dota Auto Chess and TFT from League of Legends. Notably, this studio is rumored to be “99% copied” and only changed the names to transform it into their own product.

The character descriptions discovered by gamers are copied exactly without missing a single period or comma. Moreover, the skills show no investment in upgrades and are still suspected to be a “copy” from the company.

Immediately afterward, Riot took action by filing a lawsuit in California over this serious imitation. This lawsuit not only threatens the quick demise of this game but also puts this studio at risk of a compensation amounting to 3.4 billion VND. This is not the first time the League of Legends universe has been plagiarized. Previously, Tencent won 2.9 million USD in a lawsuit against Moontoon when the game Mobile Legends stole ideas and characters.
Currently, the studio is still denying this lawsuit from Riot. The case is still under trial.
