Chovy may need to thank Faker for continuing his journey in League of Legends

And in League of Legends today, there is another rivalry that has captured the community’s attention: Chovy and Faker. As long as Faker is there with his top-notch performances, even when T1 is repeatedly defeated by Gen.G, they do not suffer overwhelming losses. This is why these matchups are so significant, and the victory of either team becomes a focal point. In fact, if it were not for Gen.G vs. T1 but rather Chovy facing HLE or another team, the interest would not even compare to the “El Clásico.”
Looking back at 2023 when Faker had to take a break for the first time due to injury, T1’s matches and the total viewership of the LCK can only be summed up in one word: “disaster.” Even T1’s opponents likely did not feel very convincing when considering the circumstances. They defeated a T1 that was extremely weak and demotivated, not the 2022 World Championship runners-up when Faker was not there.
Chovy himself likely understands: if he defeats T1 without Faker, the victory would only hold simple significance in terms of results and would always be subject to debate.
