Chovy May Be Linked to the Worlds Final
As known, in the first semifinal of this year’s Worlds, against the familiar opponent KT, Gen.G surprisingly “fell” with a score of 1-3. In fact, throughout the 4 matches, Gen.G could only secure 1 win thanks to the “brilliance” of Ruler and Kiin. The rest, they lost in the laning phase or right from the drafting phase – something that rarely happens to Gen.G this year. However, despite being eliminated, fans have discovered some information suggesting Chovy may be related to the results of the final match.

Specifically, since Chovy began participating in Worlds (in 2019) until now, in odd years (2019, 2021, 2023), any team that defeats Chovy in the Knockout stage subsequently fails to become the Worlds champion. Previous “victims” include IG, HLE, and BLG. Conversely, in even years, any team that eliminates Chovy’s team in the Knockout stage goes on to win the championship, namely DWG (2020), DRX (2022), and T1 (2024).

However, since Chovy has joined Gen.G, and there is also an “aura” that any team defeating Gen.G in the semifinals will become the champion, this has sparked discussions in the community. The reason is that this year is an odd year (2025), but KT has defeated Chovy’s Gen.G in the semifinals, and people are curious which “benefit” will be stronger and may influence the outcome of the upcoming Worlds final.

But T1 – KT Must Also Strive Hard in the Upcoming Worlds Final
While there may be some “aura,” all of this is merely observations and discussions during “after-hours” chats in the LoL community. The most important factor that will directly influence the match result is the performance of the players. Both KT and T1 deserve to be crowned champions. But who performs better will be the decisive factor in claiming the throne of the LoL scene this season.
