In interactive public roles like that of a commentator, it’s not uncommon for incidents to occur. However, recently, a female League of Legends commentator from China has become the center of controversy after making a rather “offensive” remark regarding Faker.
Specifically, while commenting on the match between T1 and SANDBOX Gaming, the LPL commentator made a controversial remark about a situation where Faker used Azir’s ultimate ability into thin air, stating, “This is a rather incompetent handling of the situation.”
This comment immediately faced a barrage of criticism and intense reactions from the League of Legends community in China, prompting her to quickly post an apology.

She mentioned that it was her first time commentating on a T1 match, which made her anxious for an entire week. When she went live, she initially aimed to make light-hearted comments, but lost control of her words, resulting in remarks that were somewhat disrespectful to Faker.
Subsequently, she also posted another message hoping for forgiveness from the online community. The young woman stated that she is a great admirer of Faker, akin to a “fan” (fans sometimes tease their idols), and her anxiety during her first time commentating on her idol’s match led her to use inappropriate language.
The commentator, known by the nickname “Chihiro,” is a fresh face in the LPL, so the community has been somewhat understanding regarding her slip of the tongue, especially given the widespread sharing of her incredibly attractive images like this:
