Let’s chat with Duy Kent – the captain of Spartacus CSĐN and explore the championship journey of the players!
Interviewer: Could you introduce a bit about yourself and the members participating in the Spartacus CSĐN team?
Duy Kent: I am Duy Kent, the captain of the TNT Legion. My team participated in the VPL Cyber Battle 2023 under the banner of Spartacus CSĐN. Additionally, the other participants are also from the TNT Legion, including: Vico, Slowz, Koo, Chuns, Dem1ke. These names are well-known in the Battle Teams 2 community.
Interviewer: When did you first learn about Battle Teams 2, and what are your brief impressions of this FPS game?
Duy Kent: I was introduced to it by an older brother at the end of June. I tried it out and found it quite captivating, unique, and with many new play styles in the C4 mode – a mode that I am very passionate about, so I decided to climb to the top and explore more.
Interviewer: It is known that the finals of VPL Cyber Battle 2023 took place in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Spartacus CSĐN team flew in from Hanoi. Did you face any difficulties with scheduling, work, travel, etc.?
Duy Kent: We had prepared and arranged our time as well as work beforehand because our goal in participating in the tournament was to reach the finals, so none of us had any personal commitments. As for travel and daily activities, the Battle Teams 2 team and Spartacus CSĐN provided very enthusiastic support, so there were no difficulties. Through this question, I would also like to extend my thanks to NPH VTC Mobile and Spartacus CSĐN for creating the best conditions and environment for our team to practice and compete.
Interviewer: Could you share a bit about the training process before the finals of Spartacus CSĐN?
Duy Kent: Since the announcement of the VPL Cyber Battle 2023 tournament, the team has been training a lot, and the training environment has been very harsh. Besides achieving a high rank as a team, we frequently scrim with foreign teams to learn more strategies.
Interviewer: The opponent in the finals of Spartacus CSĐN was Vikings Gaming. Did you study your opponent beforehand?
Duy Kent: Vikings Gaming is a strong team, but I always have confidence in my team. We have defeated Vikings Gaming three times before, and in this Cyber Battle tournament, we raised that number to four.
Interviewer: During the finals, did Spartacus CSĐN experience any psychological “blow” at any time?
Duy Kent: In the third match of the Bo5 series against Vikings Gaming, the team made many mistakes, and some strategies were read by the opponent, leading to them taking the lead 5-2. But thanks to our unity and some individuals shining at the right moments, we changed our gameplay to be more diverse and turned the match around, ultimately winning 7-6.
Interviewer: What were the team’s emotions when officially being crowned champions of the VPL Cyber Battle 2023 Finals?
Duy Kent: We all felt very happy and proud. All the efforts and hard work of the entire team have paid off. And the most important thing is that we did not let everyone’s expectations down.
Interviewer: Do you have any plans for Esports in the future?
Duy Kent: In the near future, both my team and I are aiming to become streamers, KOLs for Battle Teams 2, and we hope to receive support and acceptance from everyone. As for professional competition, that is definitely on the table, as it has been our goal since the formation of the team.
Interviewer: It is known that Duy Kent is also the commander of TNT – a very strong legion in Battle Teams 2 and the interim chairman of the Hanoi Alliance for the Battle Team 2 game. Do you have any messages to send to NPH VTC Mobile?
Duy Kent: I feel honored and fortunate to have core brothers to create a very strong TNT legion at this moment, as well as to be trusted and elected as the interim chairman of the Hanoi Alliance for the Battle Team 2 game. I only have a small suggestion for the publisher to create more play areas for the community to interact with each other, providing opportunities for development and self-expression. Additionally, I also have a few words for the gamers: the Battle Teams 2 game is still very new and not yet complete, so I hope all of you will connect with each other more, and be more civilized to work together to elevate the game to a new level.
