Brazilian male streamer unexpectedly shows disdain for Chovy, causing community outrage
As known, at this moment, the League of Legends community is focused entirely on First Stand 2026 – where the champion teams of the domestic tournament are competing for the first international title of the year. The first matches of the First Stand 2026 group stage went as predicted, with the higher-rated teams all claiming victory. However, drama erupted backstage, with Chovy as the “main character”.

Specifically, during a live interaction with co-streamers at the competition venue, the extremely popular Brazilian streamer at CBLOL – Baiano, got to work with Chovy. He did not hide his fandom for T1, but notably, the image of the popcorn box that Baiano placed right on the interview table. For those who don’t know, in Brazilian culture, the image of a popcorn box can imply the term “choke” (which translates to performing poorly).
Notably, after the interview, Baiano made a provocative post stating, “Thanks Chovy for giving 3 World Championships to Faker.” This was the “last straw” that led the League of Legends community to become truly upset with Baiano. Even the Brazilian League of Legends audience found it hard to accept their fellow streamer.

And the outcome for the “brazen” streamer with Chovy
Clearly, in this situation, Chovy was completely uninvolved as he maintained maximum professionalism during the interview with Baiano. As for the male streamer, he later had to issue an official apology to the Mid Laner of Gen.G. Fortunately for Baiano, Gen.G also announced that they would “not pursue the matter.”

It is normal for well-known figures in the League of Legends scene, especially KOLs, to be fans of this or that team. However, everything should have its limits, especially if negative impacts on players or teams can easily provoke strong backlash.
