On the afternoon of March 24 (Vietnam time), the League of Legends community was once again stirred up. Specifically, Bilibili Gaming officially announced that their AD Carry – the legend Uzi will rest for the remainder of the season. This is a surprising move that has left League of Legends fans, especially those in the LPL, in shock.

In the LPL Spring 2022, Uzi’s return was one of the most talked-about topics. However, in reality, things did not go as the fans of the “Super AD Carry” from Royal Never Give Up had hoped. Uzi did not get to play frequently and was almost only a branding figure for BLG. Many times, the LPL community hoped Uzi would get to play after BLG’s disastrous results. Yet, this team continued to leave the LPL legend on the bench. It was only in the final rounds that Uzi began to make more frequent appearances.

With BLG allowing Uzi to rest for the remainder of the season, many opinions suggest that this could be a “Thank you Uzi” announcement after the Spring 2022 season concludes. With his age and the limited playtime while wearing the BLG jersey, many are concerned that Uzi’s career may have truly come to an end. However, the majority of opinions from LPL fans are about “throwing shade” at BLG. They believe that BLG has “squeezed Uzi dry” and now discards the legend of Chinese League of Legends. At the same time, BLG’s move is also seen as deceiving fans, merely wanting to “gain fame” through Uzi.

But anyway, BLG’s announcement only states that Uzi will rest, and the player himself has not provided any further information about his future. One thing is certain, this comeback for Uzi has been incredibly challenging. And very likely, as predicted by the internet community, Uzi’s career may have truly reached its conclusion.
